Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and rescue you. Isaiah 46:4 NIV
Colby was a dog I met in Vancouver, Canada last August. He and his owners had crossed the Capilano Suspension Bridge and were working their way through the Tree Top Adventure.
The Tree Top Adventure included a series of swaying bridges and Colby’s adventure seemed to be at an end. He was a little fellow who had had enough fun for one day.
His owners were coaxing him down the steps and onto the swaying bridge. It wasn’t working so Colby got picked up and carried across the bridge.
When our pathway is swaying, like Colby, we have to be coaxed to keep going, too. Step by step, one foot at a time and holding on to God’s hand tightly. This is the path that will get us from one bridge to the next bridge in our lives.
Sometimes, when we get to the end of our rope, God carries us. He picks us up in His strong arms and carries his precious cargo to the other side. We relax knowing we are safe in the arms of Jesus. He gently puts us down and we continue our adventure with God.
If your steps are swaying today, ask Jesus to hold your hand or better yet, carry you to your destination
