Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. I Corinthians 11:1 KJV
This is Molly. I had the good fortune to dog sit her on Saturday. She was frightened and shaking whenever her Daddy would leave.
Molly spent her first ten years in a Puppy Mill. She was caged and never walked on grass. She did not know the joy of being loved.
Her daddy saved her from her past life and now she is curious and confident. She sticks with her daddy like glue, following him everywhere.
As Christians, we are to be just like Molly. We are to follow Christ wherever he leads. We are to imitate him so that others will see Jesus in us. He saved us from our past life and we should want to stick to him like glue. Psalm 42:1 states, “As the deer pants for water, so I long for you, O God”. Our desire is for the one who rescued us.
As you follow Christ, who is following you? Your children, co-workers, church members and friends? Everyone you come in contact with each day should be able to follow you and be on the right path. Others see the life you lead, the things you do and they hear the words you speak. Are you leading them astray or down the straight and narrow path that leads to eternity with Jesus?
Let’s be like Molly and follow our daddy anywhere and everywhere. Confident that we are in Christ and curious to see where he leads.
