The Royal Beagle’s name is Guy. During the recent wedding of Princess Meghan and Prince Harry, Guy was shown riding home with Queen Elizabeth.
Guy was adopted by the Princess in Canada but he came from a kill shelter in Kentucky where he was on the list to be put down. A group of volunteers transported the beagle over 500 miles to rescue him and find a loving home. Guy found Meghan Markle and has been living the good life.
The story doesn’t stop there for this Prince Charming. He has now went from commoner to royalty in a moment. When the Prince married his princess, Guy became the Royal Beagle. This is a true fairy tail (pun intended).
In the same way, Christians live a charmed life. It may not always be easy, but I Peter 2:9 refers to us as a royal priesthood and a holy nation among other titles. We have been rescued from sin, hell and destruction and are living the good life. Psalm 1:6 tells us, For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.” The Amplified Bible puts John 10:10 this way, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance {to the full, till it overflows}.” We have been rescued and are living the good life.
When we accept Jesus as our savior, we go from commoner to royalty in the twinkling of an eye. We are born again into the royal family. We are adopted by the King of Kings. Just as Guy was escorted to his royal dwelling place, we will be escorted by the King to our heavenly home for all eternity.
John 15:15 states, “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” We are members of the inner circle; adopted into the Royal Family of God. Let’s walk, talk and act like it and represent the King like royalty each and every day.
