And in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son, in all the way which you have walked until you came to this place. Deuteronomy 1:31 NASB
I see people who carry their little dogs with them everywhere they go. Doctor’s office doors clearly state, “Service Dogs Only” but here come the Yorkies. Chihuahuas and other small dogs in their owner’s arms.
I understand how this can happen as I have carried my mother’s Chihuahua, Duke. We don’t take him everywhere but we’d like to keep him in our arms. He’s always there and you don’t understand why he isn’t allowed everywhere you go.
The country song by George Strait says, “I’m carrying your love with me, West Virginia down to Tennessee”. So even if you don’t or can’t carry your dog with you, there is something that is always with us and that is God and his love.
God’s love is always there. It surrounds us. God never changes. He will never leave us alone (Hebrews 13:5). No matter what you do or where you go, God loves you.
He promises to carry you through your wilderness. In the good times and the bad times, you are special and loved by the God of the universe. Let him carry you through and rest assured that you carry his love with you, too.
God will always be there even to the ends of the earth. That’s a lot further than West Virginia down to Tennessee. God is there till the end of time.
